Each week, we try to celebrate a very special member of our clubs.
This week, meet Betsy, who gives an amazing testament to what Koko can do for you and her story behind how she got fit…
I am a Kokonut! I started almost a year ago! Wow.. And it has been an incredible journey.
I have had amazing strength increase – 83% since I started! I am stronger, feel stronger and am amazed at my strength increase.
I have to say kudos to my Koko “nutty” family at Lakewood Ranch, Florida! Love, love that family of trainers and other Kokonuts. The atmosphere is not your “usual” gym scene. I don’t feel I have to have fancy gym clothes, or be super thin, but I come in comfy ready to work hard and stay focus on my Koko plan.
I am always greeted by name (does the Y do that?) and there is always help available when I need it (does that happen at other gyms?). What makes Koko “extra” special is the feel of family and that is because of the owner, their staff, and the environment they have created.
I recently went through 6 months prepping for our oldest daughters wedding. And my Koko family was there to encourage, ask how I was doing and be excited with me. That was a happy time. But my dad passed this year and my Koko family was there through that very hard time. Hugs, tissues and tears.
At Koko, you get what you pay for…exceptional personal service, a clean facility, smiles, helpful, encouraging, 24-hr fitness, a safe environment, no fancy gym-wear required, high-quality, professional, family atmosphere and intense workouts!
It is up to each individual to make their experience as personal or as private as they wish. I just recommend the “friendly” experience where I say “hi”/”good morning” as much as I can (except in the middle of a 100% workout, than I am super focused). But being friendly helps me create that “family” feel.
So here is a shout out to the best Koko Nuts out there! We are Koko Strong. We are Family…
Keepin’ and stayin’ Koko strong!
